Americanism - Flags for First G raders
Palomar Voiture's Americanism program covers a wide variety of worthy efforts, to numerous to list here, howerver the total effort for Fiscal Year 2009 was $83,758.00 in financial aid, goods and services to the communities of North San Diego County.
Those efforts include assistance to other public and private non-profit groups, fraternal organizations and veterans organizations.

Carville Star Program
As one of their ongoing programs, the Voyageurs Militaire offer continuing support of the publication, "The Star," magazine, which disseminates information regarding the research into Hansen's Disease (Leprosy).
According to the program managers at Baton Rouge, California has one of the highest rates of reported Hansen's Disease in the nation. There are three clinics in California: San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco have clinics providing services to those in the program.
Donations of $2.00 will purchase a year's subcription to magazine which you can have delivered to any facility that you believe would benefit from the information, for example your community library, health care center and so forth, or to yourself. Child Wefare
Palomar sponsors selected individuals and youth groups with emergent and financial aid where needed. The program is not designed to replace or supplement other assistance programs such as the Red Cross in emergencies.
FY2009 Palomar Voiture donated $63457.00 in goods, services and financial aid to the children of North San Diego County.

Nurses Training
The Nurses Training Scholarship Program: Palomar Voiture 1406 sponsors 3 to 5 Nurses in training at Palomar Community College in San Marcos, CA. and for advanced degrees at California State University San Marcos, and National University.
FY2009 Palomar Voiture donated in access of $3,000.00 in scholarships, goods and services for Nurses Training via programs at the stated colleges and universities.
Special Awards
Each year Palomar Voiture submits the name of a local sworn law officer for the prestigious Grand Voiture du California Law Officer of the Year; the name of a local resident, or law officer, is submitted for Hero or the Year for their heroic efforts in support of Public Safety, including Fire Fighter, Paramedics and private citizen; one of North San Diego County's fine cities is nominated annually for the Grand Voiture "City of the Year". Every organization has an individual who stands out in their effort and support of the organization, we at Palomar annually nominate such an individual for the Grand Voyageur of the Year.
The Grand du California Law Officer of the Year is Rodney Walters of the City of Redlands Police Department. The Hero of the Year is Deputy Sheriff John Ebert, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office. The City of the Year is Santa Maria, CA and the Grand Voyaguer of the Year is Robert S Mattson, Solano Voiture 395 Vallejo, CA.
The Special Awards program is inclusive to the Americanism program.

Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services (VAVS)
Like other organizations, Palomar Voiture 1406 supports the Volunteer efforts at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, La Jolla, San Diego, Calif. We have a permanant VAVS Deputy Representative at the medical center. We also provide services when required to the Chula Vista Veterans Home, Chula Vista, Calif., and to two VA outpatient clinics in Oceanside and Escondido, Calif.
FY 2007 Palomar Voiture supported the VAVS program at these locations with $10,829.00 in goods, services and financial aid.
Youth Sports
Palomar Voiture supports all sanctioned and recognized youth sports activities.
FY2009 donations to the Youth Sports efforts in North County were $305.00 in goods and services.
