Who qualifies for membership in the Forty and Eight?
Any veteran of the United States Armed Service who holds an Honorable Seperation/Discharge from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard of the United States of America, or who is currently on active duty in the armed forces of the United States is qualified by that service to a membership. One must be proposed by a qualified member of La Sociéte des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux, "The Forty and Eight", and then approved by the membership of the Voiture Locale (local chapter).
